Introduction

Germany is a strong, well-established market for medical devices. It boasts high quality products ranging from imaging technologies to surgical equipment to IT infrastructure. Germany also has a great landscape of hospitals, scientific institutes, and industry. They are well connected by dedicated medical innovation networks and events that incubate innovation, initiate projects, and enrich business collaborations.

In addition, in Northern Germany, where life science plays a special role, the mixture of innovative power and traditional structures creates a unique environment for medical technology, biotech, and pharmaceutical companies. Medical technology has always been strongly positioned in Hamburg. Almost no other region has a comparable economic structure or such robust locational advantages in medical technology research and development.

To introduce the German market to Taiwanese investors, the German Trade Office Taipei will host a hybrid seminar with the partners NürnbergMesse and Life Science Nord Management, Hamburg Invest on October 16th, 2020. We will focus on “The Business Opportunity of the Healthcare Industry in Germany.”
