Concerts in Taiwan in February 2019

The symphonic orchestra at the Georg-Friedrich-Händel High School in Berlin is planning several concerts in Taiwan in February 2019.

In addition to common work with young Taiwanese singers and musicians there will be three symphonic concerts with music composed by Richard Wagner, Cécile Chaminade (solo concert of the flutist Shih-Cheng Liu), Edward Elgar and Dimitri Schostakowitsch.

The Taipei concert will be opened by famous „Ode to Joy“ out of Beethovens 9th Symphony, together with the choirs of the Rong-Shing Culture Foundation, singing the final choir in Mandarin Chinese.

The stay is initiated by the Taiwanese Representation in Berlin and the flutist Shih-Cheng Liu who is living in Berlin as well as by the Rong-Shing Culture Foundation (Taipei) and kindly supported by the Goethe-Institute.

The concerts are free of charge, but additional sponsoring is welcomed. In return, your logo will be inserted in the e-flyer distributed within next weeks and you will get reserved seats for a concert.
