The Asia-Pacific Conference of German Business (APK), which takes place every two years, is the platform for an overarching dialogue between Germany and the Asia-Pacific region, between politics and business.
Jointly organized by the Asia-Pacific Committee of German Business (APA), the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy (BMWE), and the German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs), the APK provides a unique platform to deepen the dialogue on current economic developments in Europe and the Asia-Pacific region, as well as to build and strengthen personal and economic ties.
The conference, which will be conducted in English and jointly chaired by APA Chairman and Siemens CEO Roland Busch as well as the German Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Energy, Katherina Reiche, is aimed at decision-makers from business and politics in Germany, the EU and across the Asia-Pacific region. We expect German Federal Chancellor Friedrich Merz, the President of the Republic of Korea, LEE Jae Myung, as well as other high-ranking speakers from business, politics and academia.
The APK 2026 will place a special focus on innovation, industrial AI, corporate resilience and sustainable industrial cooperation, thereby underlining Germany’s commitment to strengthening economic ties with Korea and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Approximately 1,000 participants from business and politics are expected to attend.
