Junior Field Application Engineer (FAE) – Europe

Role & Responsibilities:
  • Participate in an intensive 3–12 month training program in Taiwan and/or China, including a 3-month probationary period with technical, behavioral, and performance evaluations. 
  • Factory floor immersion: Learn the full product lifecycle by spending time in production, assembly, and quality processes. 
  • Provide technical support, presentations, and application guidance to European customers and distributors. 
  • Translate customer requirements into engineering solutions and liaise with R&D/Product Management. 
  • Deliver design-in support, sample validation, and troubleshooting for customer projects. 
  • Contribute to technical documentation, white papers, and competitor/market analysis. 
  • Support new product introductions (NPI) and customer adoption. 
  • Operate remotely (home-based) while traveling 50–60% across Europe to visit customers and distributors. 
Requirements & Qualifications:

Essential: 

  • EU nationality (EU/EEA passport holder). 
  • Master’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, Automation, Mechatronics, or related). 
  • Minimum 2 years’ professional experience in engineering, product, or technical support roles. 
  • Language skills: English (fluent); German (working proficiency, mandatory); Chinese (a plus). 
  • Strong communication, customer-facing, and problem-solving skills. 
  • Independent, self-driven, and adaptable to cross-cultural environments. 
  • Willing and able to relocate to Taiwan and/or China for 12 months (local contract). 

 

Preferred: 

  • Experience in at least one of the following: Factory Automation, Heavy Equipment, Agriculture/Construction Machinery, Lighting, Marine Electronics, Renewable Energies, Future Mobilities, AI Datacenters, Smart Grids. 
  • Familiarity with interconnect solutions, cable assemblies, or ruggedized electronics.

Employment Terms:
  • Probationary period: 3 months (part of training in Taiwan/China).

Job Responsibility:
  • Sales Pipeline Management and Forecasting: Manage the sales pipeline and track deals, using forecasting to produce accurate revenue projections for strategic planning.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Manage existing customer accounts and identify new potential customers in the assigned territory to expand the customer base.
  • Product Promotion and Proposal Development: Advocate for products and solutions tailored to customer needs, collaborating with sales and project management teams in Taiwan and headquarters to create customized proposals.
  • Market Opportunity Monitoring: Track market trends and opportunities, providing actionable insights to management and headquarters to support strategic decision-making.
  • Participation in Marketing Activities and Reporting: Engage in marketing initiatives and ensure timely submission of weekly reports to management on activities and outcomes, contributing to overall sales strategy effectiveness.
Job Requirement
  • Bachelor or above degree.
  • Multinational Company Experience:Proven experience working in a multinational company, demonstrating adaptability to diverse business environments.
  • Sales & Business Development: Minimum 5 years in sales, key account, or business development, ideally with experience in mechanical or optical measurement, quality control, large equipment sales, and project management.
  • Understanding of Taiwan's Business Ecosystem & Analytical Skills: Strong knowledge of Taiwan's industrial and electronics sectors, with ability to analyze sales data and market trends for strategic decisions.

  • Proactive Problem Solver and Strong Negotiation Skills:Takes initiative to effectively address challenges and achieve favorable outcomes through negotiation.
  • Results-Oriented Team Player with Excellent Communication Skills:Focused on achieving goals while collaborating well with others and communicating clearly and persuasively.

  • Proficient in written and spoken on English and Mandarin
  • Regular visits to clients in Taiwan, with planned trips to customer overseas branches every 3 to 6 months.
  • Compliance with Company Policies: All applicants must strictly adhere to the company's compliance policies and maintain high ethical standards.
Key Performance Indicator
  • Sales Revenue and Profit: Measure total revenue generated from sales and the associated profit, ensuring alignment with the company's latest recognition policies.
  • Customer Acquisition and Retention: Monitor new customer acquisition and retention rates to evaluate the effectiveness of relationship management strategies.
  • Sales Forecast Accuracy: Assess how sales forecasts match actual results, using pipeline management to improve predictions.
