The German Trade Office Taipei (GTO) is participating for the first time in the Taipei Aerospace & Defense Technology Exhibition (TADTE) with a dedicated German Pavilion, presenting Germany’s innovative achievements and industrial strength in the fields of aerospace and security. In recent years, Germany has been driving the modernization of its aerospace and security industries, increasing investments, enhancing R&D capabilities, and actively seeking international cooperation. This debut not only underscores the technological expertise of German companies but also highlights bilateral opportunities for economic resilience and industrial innovation.

Recently Germany has pushed forward upgrades in aerospace and security-related industries, focusing on advanced research in sensor technologies, precision manufacturing, and quantum communications. At the same time, Germany continues to invest in European aerospace programs, demonstrating its long-term commitment to the future of the industry. Initiatives such as new orders for Eurofighter aircraft and joint projects with European partners further strengthen supply chain stability and industrial growth. These policy directions encourage German companies to expand into overseas markets and pursue partnerships with key supply chain players such as Taiwan.

Dr. Eva Langerbeck, Chief Representative and Executive Director of the German Trade Office Taipei, stated:
“German companies have long been dedicated to research and innovation while actively building partnerships with international counterparts. Taiwan’s strengths in aerospace and advanced manufacturing are widely recognized, and we look forward to fostering bilateral exchange through this exhibition to jointly drive industrial upgrading and economic resilience.”

This year’s German Pavilion features four companies. Helsing is a new type of security technology company that supports democratic nations with precise quality control and autonomous operational capabilities, enabling deterrence and protection. HENSOLDT, a leading system integrator, specializes in developing cutting-edge sensor solutions and continues to drive innovation in the fields of protection and security. SMS group GmbH is globally renowned for forward-looking technologies and exceptional services, focusing on the metals industry and playing a vital role in aerospace manufacturing supply chains. ViscoTec, a global leader in precision dosing and dispensing technology, provides high-performance solutions for industries including automotive, aerospace, medical technology, food, and cosmetics.

In addition, the German Pavilion will host a special event during the exhibition. On September 18 at 2:00 p.m., the Pavilion will feature a company sharing session where German exhibitors will present their innovative applications and solutions, offering Taiwanese industry stakeholders deeper insights into Germany’s latest aerospace developments.

The establishment of the German Pavilion demonstrates not only Germany’s commitment to the Taiwanese market but also reflects the growing global emphasis on security, innovation, and sustainable development within international supply chains. Looking ahead, the German Trade Office Taipei will continue to support more German companies in exploring opportunities with Taiwanese partners, working together to build a more competitive international industrial ecosystem.
