One for All: Control Robots From a Wide Range of Manufacturers Easily and Flexibly with RobotCtrl

  • News

Automation doesn't have to be complicated - RobotCtrl makes it even more accessible for companies of all sizes. Thanks to the intuitive control software from igus, robots available on the online robotics marketplace RBTX can be operated uniformly regardless of the manufacturer and accessories such as cameras, grippers or robot cells can be integrated. RobotCtrl thus significantly reduces the operating complexity and integration effort for beginners and professionals. Support for the robotics manufacturers Lebai, Hitbot and Lynx Motion is a new addition.

The igus control software for manufacturer-independent robotics is growing - Lebai, Hitbot and Lynx Motion now available

As the leading marketplace for robotics and automation, RBTX brings together over 175 suppliers and more than 850 robots and components in one place. Whether grippers, sensors or complete robot systems - interested parties will find everything they need for their automation here. The RobotCtrl developed by igus makes the integration and control of low-cost automation even more flexible and easier than ever before. Robots available on RBTX can be programmed and controlled uniformly with the software. Users benefit from reduced training time as they only need to master a single software. The ability to program robots from a wide range of manufacturers with just one controller not only saves time and training costs, but also opens up new possibilities for a manufacturer-independent automation strategy. Thanks to its modular design, RobotCtrl supports various robot kinematics from different manufacturers, including igus, Fanuc, KUKA and many more. This enables the seamless integration of different robotic systems into existing production and automation solutions. The motion sequences of the robots can be simulated on a 3D surface - without the robot having to be physically connected. "This makes it easier to plan and develop new processes and enables automation strategies to be tested efficiently before they are put into practice ," explains Alexander Mühlens, Head of the Low-Cost Automation division at igus. "Companies can therefore react more quickly to market requirements, design production processes more efficiently and thus save costs."

Robot programming made easy

RobotCtrl has already been successfully tested with leading manufacturers. Users can therefore be sure that they are working with proven and reliable software. Another advantage of RobotCtrl is the user-friendly graphical interface, which allows intuitive programming. Thanks to a drag-and-drop function, motion sequences can be easily created and adapted. This reduces the programming effort and makes the software easy to understand even for users without in-depth programming knowledge. RobotCtrl offers a practical and cost-effective solution, especially for small and medium-sized companies that have previously shied away from the complexity of robotics. "Our aim is to make automation as simple and accessible as possible," emphasizes Alexander Mühlens. "With RobotCtrl, we enable companies of all sizes to get started with automation in a cost-effective and flexible way."
