Rahil Ansari Succeeds Matthias Schepers as Group Managing Director at Audi Volkswagen Taiwan Co. Ltd.

• Matthias Schepers, Group Managing Director of Audi Volkswagen Taiwan (AVT), moves to the position of Managing Director at Volkswagen Group Japan and Audi Japan KK.

• Rahil Ansari succeeds as Group Managing Director of AVT, effective November.

2021/10/27 Taipei - Matthias Schepers, Group Managing Director of Audi Volkswagen Taiwan Co. Ltd. , will transfer to the position of Managing Director at Volkswagen Group Japan and Audi Japan KK.,  Taiwan market will be taken over by Rahil Ansari, who has profound experience in sales, finance and general management  at  AUDI AG and Audi India.  With Rahil Ansari’s  diverse background, he will lead Audi Volkswagen Taiwan as a Group, which includes the brands Audi, Volkswagen Passenger Cars, SKODA and Volkswagen Commercial Vehicles. He will also serve as the Managing Director of Audi Taiwan in the next chapter of the company’s future.

Matthias Schepers, Managing Director of Volkswagen Group Taiwan and Audi Taiwan, arrived Taiwan in 2018. Over the past three years, Matthias Schepers has formulated a product strategy with the spirit of giving priority to Taiwanese consumers, introducing more than 30 new-generation products, and introducing the first electric vehicle Audi e-tron to the market. Matthias Schepers  has ended his mission in Taiwan market in September and taken over a new position  as Managing Director at Volkswagen Group Japan and Audi Japan KK. Audi Volkswagen Taiwan  highly appreciates   his dedication and contribution to the Volkswagen Group and the Audi brand, and wishes  him another successful stint in Japan.

Rahil Ansari, who has been serving as the Senior Director for Central Controlling Sales, Digital and New Business of AUDI AG in Germany from 2019 onwards, will succeed Matthias Schepers as the new Group Managing Director at AVT and Audi Taiwan effective November. Rahil started his automotive career at the Audi headquarters in Sales Controlling  in 2004 and moved to Sales Department in 2006 to lead the way to start the Audi operations in India. This resulted in the foundation of the National Sales Company (Audi India) including local assembly.  In 2011, after an external auto experience, he  moved to India  as Head of Dealer Development for Audi. . Following a 4 year stint at AUDI AG in Germany in the area of After Sales he became the Managing Director of Audi India in 2017. With over a decade of experience  with the brand of the four rings, Rahil Ansari has comprehensive experiences cross different divisions and business areas. With his outstanding leadership abilities, Rahil will take the mission of expanding the Taiwanese  market and bring it to the new level.

This will also make sure we will be the talk of the town with the young-minded community in Taiwan that looks at a premium yet sustainable footprint. The first proof of this is the launch of our new Audi e-tron GT and the RS e-tron GT in November this year” says Rahil Ansari.

Rahil is a great fan of ball sports and a big supporter of Bayern Munich. He is also enthusiastic about baseball and has watched games such as the New York Yankees live in the stadium itself. Apart from this, he loves traveling, exploring new cultures and different cuisines, too.
