About the speakers:
Dominik Thumfart is Head of Transportation, Infrastructure & Energy in the Global Capital Markets, Financing & Solutions Group, of Deutsche Bank’s Corporate and Investment Bank. In this role, Dominik leads origination of infrastructure and energy related project and structured finance opportunities with clients of the bank (eg, financial sponsors, power companies, industrial clients). Before assuming this role in May 2013, Dominik was Co-Head of Infrastructure & Energy Finance in the Structured Credit business of Global Markets. During this time, Deutsche Bank won a series of accolades for project finance deals led by the Infrastructure & Energy Finance team, particularly in the renewable energy sector. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank AG in November 2008, Dominik spent fifteen years at Citigroup, predominantly in Frankfurt, London, New York, and Vienna. He was made a Managing Director in 2004 and between 2004 and 2008 was the EMEA Business Head of its Asset Finance Group, Global Markets, based in London. Dominik holds a Master and a Doctorate in Business Administration from Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration) and a Master of European Management (CEMS) from Escuela Superior de Administración de Empresas (ESADE) in Barcelona. 

Michael Suppan is a Vice President in Deutsche Bank’s Infrastructure & Energy team. He is based in London and focuses on the group’s renewable energy and infrastructure activities. Michael has more than ten years of extensive experience in the origination and execution of transactions in the renewable energy sector as well as in working on structured transactions in the transportation and power sectors. Key transactions include the financial advisory for the 396MW Merkur offshore wind farm in Germany (winning numerous deal of the year awards in 2016) and the structuring and arranging of project financing for solar parks in Japan, Italy and South Africa as well as for biomass plants in the United Kingdom. Michael joined Deutsche Bank in 2008 from Citigroup where he was part of its Asset Finance Group. Michael holds a Masters degree in Business Administration from the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration) and is a CFA charterholder.
